HISTORY OF
THE BEER

The Munich Helles style was born in the city of Munich in 1894, created by the Spaten brewery to compete with the Czech Pilsners that were gaining popularity at the time for their easy drinking. The objective of these brewers was to create a clear beer like the Czech Pilsners or the German imitations of that time but giving prominence to the balance between the malts and the bitterness without the predominance of the hop character.

It is a clean and golden beer, with a sweet malt flavor and a smooth, dry finish. The hops stand out subtly with floral and herbaceous touches typical of noble German hops with a contained bitterness that helps maintain the balance with the moderate sweetness of the malt. This results in a refreshing beer, perfect for everyday drinking.
