HISTORY OF
THE BEER

It is one of the most typical beers from southern Germany, with a tradition dating back hundreds of years, when the production of wheat beer used to be a monopoly of the Bavarian royalty.

Forgotten afterwards for some years in favour of more commercial and cleaner beers, in the 60s some factories in southern Germany such as Erdinger, Franziskaner and Schneider reintroduced it to the market with a large advertising campaign exposing the isotonic virtues that this beer had for athletes.

It is a beer made with 50% wheat, pale and refreshing in appearance, highly carbonated, with a dry finish and aromatic contributions from the fermentation of the wheat, such as banana and clove aromas.
