HISTORY OF
THE BEER

It is one of the most typical beers of southern Germany, with a tradition that goes back hundreds of years, when the production of wheat beer used to be a monopoly of the Bavarian royalty.

Forgotten for a few years in favor of more commercial and cleaner beers, in the 1960s some breweries in southern Germany, such as Erdinger, Franziskaner and Schneider, reintroduced it to the market with a major advertising campaign touting the isotonic virtues of this beer for sportsmen and women.

It is a beer made with 50% wheat, with a pale and refreshing appearance, high carbonation, dry finish with aromatic contributions from wheat fermentation such as banana and clove aromas.
