Our story

Fifteen years brewing craft beer in Menorca, carrying the name and spirit of our friend Grahame Pearce.

Origins

We were born in 2011 after several years of preparation to brew the first beer in Menorca. A few years earlier, our friend Grahame Pearce, a British resident on the island, put forward the idea of making beer here, in Menorca.

Rather than leaving it as just an idea, we got to work: we travelled, trained and learned in several European countries with strong brewing traditions.

Just a few months before the brewery was finished, our friend Grahame passed away. We decided to give the brewery his name as a tribute to his humour, his friendship and his way of embracing life (and good beer).

The first Menorcan beer

At the new brewery, right next to our restaurant Es Molí de Foc, on 8 March 2011 we brewed our first batch: a light lager with balanced notes of malt and hops, light-bodied with a moderate bitterness.

It quickly became a local favourite and gradually found its way into shops, bars and restaurants across the island.

The Lager was soon joined by several styles inspired by European classics: the Brown Ale, the Wheat, the Stout and the Pilsner, which have brought us so many awards and moments of joy.

Beers with a gastronomic twist

Since 2019 we have been developing a collaborative beer project with local producers. Our goal is to bring the land and the produce of Menorca into our beers.

At Grahame Pearce we have always had a gastronomic calling that pushes us to go one step further. With this new line we have created beers with an extra gastronomic dimension.

This is where the talaiòtica beer, the Glop de Festes and the saffron lager were born, among others. And who knows what else our brewers will come up with…

We are in the middle of celebrating our first 15 years of brewing — and we're doing it in style!

2026 is bringing plenty of surprises and new developments: we are reviving our festival to mark this 15th anniversary and joining forces with brewer friends to create brand-new special beers for 2026.

The future: circular economy

Since 2025 we have been exploring how to process our waste and give it a second life, and we have started working with the consultancy Rayen to manage our by-products.

Until now, the spent grain from brewing was used to feed the livestock on a farm in Sant Climent, but we now want to transform it into compost to improve the fertility of the land.

We are also looking at how to make use of our fermentation by-products: our beloved yeast, and the hop residues removed during wort production and dry hopping.

All of these by-products will be collected and fermented under the supervision of the Rayen team to produce biofertilisers for Menorca's farmland — closing the circle between what comes from the land and what returns to it.
